Ambient interior lighting explained
Ambient lighting adds a soft glow to your interior, the footwells, doors and dash trim, with colors you control from an app.
Two main styles: LED strips and fiber-optic tubes. You can zone it (footwells, doors, dash) and control color and brightness by app.
LED-strip lighting places small LEDs around footwells and trim for bright, punchy color. Fiber-optic kits run a thin light tube (often along the door and dash trim) lit by a small LED box for that continuous "wraparound" line of light you see in newer luxury cars. Most modern kits are app- and music-reactive and let you set different zones. I lay it out so the wiring is hidden.
Zones
Dash is the base. Doors, footwells and speaker rings are add-ons. Zone pricing is on the ambient lighting page.
What a good install looks like
The strip or fiber sits inside the trim gap, not stuck to the surface. Power comes from a fused source behind the dash, not a cigarette lighter. Nothing visible when it's off. The cheap DIY kits with visible wire and tape are most of what I get asked to redo.

Yes. That's the point of a pro install.
